The father of my child is a dead beat. Hes only seen my daughter one time in the past 8 months and the only reason he's seen her at all is because of me. I've been trying to get him involved in her life since the day she was born and he keeps giving me excuses. He supposed to pay $400 every month in child support but only pays $100 every 2-3 months. I've already got full physical custody, but how do I get full legal custody in Virginia? And/or can I prove him to be unfit?

Does he beat the child, let the child go hungry, is he a danger to the child, that is how he is unfit.

So what "legal" rights don't you have right now, do you have to ask his permission for school, for church to let her stay overnight somewhere.

How many times have you taken him back to court for support, have you turned him over to child support enforcement.
