I have a Craftsman, Mid-Engine, 13.5 HP, Electric start, 30" Mower that will not start. It has a brand new Armature-Magneto and spark plug but the plug is not getting any current from the Armature-Magneto. Last year it was in the shop and they found a shorted wire. I checked as many wires as possible with a meter and could not find any shorts. It cranks with the starter but will not start. Help, any ideas?:(

The gap in the magneto/armature could be off.

If there's no spark and its gapped right from the armature then its back to a kill wire and or coil wire connection.

If a safety switch is not working properly then the coil will not work to "spark"
