    Leak in lead pipe work?
    Hi I have leak in the main water supply and is accessible how can I fix it I don't want to change the pipe work or use the fittings is it possible?

    Your question seems to have gotten lost. Repost in plumbing section. Why would you not want to use fittings?

    To do it right, you will have to either change pipe or use fitting to replace the leaking portion. There is no repairing the pipe. Can you please give a little more info on your situation, maybe a picture or two. Also, are you calling the LEAD pipe the main, or is it actually a lead(the material). Hope we can help out on this one.

    MGD77 said it: there is nothing like doing it the right way. But there are some temporary fixes. You can buy s.s. clamp and clamp it for now.

    Thanks mate I got the answer it was the lead pipe and I was wondering if I could solder it .I am going to use lead loc .

    The leaking pipe is lead which is main supply as well thanks for the help I am using lead loc.
