    The extent to which waves bend around edges of an opening is determined by?
    I'm having some trouble with figuring out this question. Can anyone please help.

    Q. The extent to which waves bend around edges of an opening is determined by?

    A the width of the opening divided by the wavelength
    B the wavelength divided by the width of the opening
    C the wavelength multiplied by the width of the opening

    A and B are fundamentally the same -- just reciprocals of each other. C is not the answer. The correct answer is either A or B, depending on how your teacher taught you. I'd pick A.
