Assets of deceased individual
My mother died a few months ago. My sister was named executor of the estate. When we received the probate papers, my brother noticed that inaccurate information was disclosed (i.e. monies in a bank account, a very depreciated valuation of the house, etc.) We know that our mother had several life insurance policies but our sister has not been forthcoming in producing any information. My brother has filed a motion to remove fiduciary as he believes my sister is hiding stuff. How do we go about finding out where she had bank accounts (we know what state), what happened to the life insurance policies and what happened to an IRA that we know she had but do not know where? Any information would be appreciated.
