Welcome to AMHD, there is no reason to be Scared_MOM, you are at your most healthy while you are pregnant!

Weight gain is different for every person and every pregnancy. Your doctor takes into consideration your BSA, body surface area, which could be much different for you than it is for someone else the same size as you.

This weight gain can be normal for some women and not others. So you need to address this with your doctor.

There can be many other reasons too, most of which are medical in nature, that your doctor must take into account. We cannot do that here. Some of it relies on tests he performs, like blood glucose tests for example.

I wish I could help more, but there are too many variables here to help you and your baby healthily. Any info we "guess" here could put you or your baby in jeopardy, that is why you need to address all problems of this nature with your OB.

We can help with symptoms, but that is really about all. Sorry I could not help more. Be careful with any advice you do get, take into account that no one has done a physical or health history on you other than your OB.
