I have been running from probation for nine months because I didn't report and I didn't have enough money to pay them on top of that I didn't have nowhere to stay. When I turn myself in is there a possibility that I will get reinstated on probation? This is the first time I've been on probation.I don't no what to do can somebody please answer me?

If you do turn yourself in you will have to attend a probation violation hearing. You will have to do your waiting for this hearing in jail. At that time the judge will determine your punishment. It could be serve your entire original probation time in jail, put you on more probation, or a combination of the two. If you have no where to stay right now, you may be stopped by the police and your name run and then you would be arrested as I am sure there is a warrant out for your arrest for violation of probation.

As an ex-probation officer in MD I would agree with all the above and being in violation of probation is always better than absconding (fleeing). In my state there are resources available to help people on probation find homes, etc. and if you were directed to pay some kind of money and don't have a job, they make it a practice here to suspend the payments until you have an income.

Of course there is the possibility that you might be reinstated on probation, quite likely after serving some time in jail, it depends on the judge and the circumstances in your state. The sooner you get the matter resolved the better. Turning yourself in is the best thing to do, it seems that when the police catch up to people with an open warrant, it is always at the worst possible moment for that person.

Yes the PO will work with you if you can't pay the fees, toward the end of the time, it may be even extended to give you more time to pay

But just not showing up and not reporting is the fastest way back to jail. I will also agree you will most likely be in jail a few weeks at least now, waiting for a hearing and maybe a few weeks after that as a "warning" but that is up to the judge.

So the best thing, go report to the PO, if there is a warrant ( most likely is) just deal with it
