    Learning different languages
My son is 20 months old. He hears 3 different languages and I only know english and a little bit from the other 2. Sometimes I think its babytalk and someone tells me he just said something. His pediatrician is recommending early intervention.. he had it when he was 10 months he did very well. She thinks that he doesn't know enough words and wants to see if it's because he hears so many languages.. that is a good thing right? It's not confusing for him I know kids that speak 3 languages at age 3 so why early intervention?

What is his vocabulary like right now? How many words, in any language, does he actually say? How much does he understand? Toddlers will understand far more than they can verbalize for awhile. If you say, "Get the ball", can he do so? How does he communicate what he wants?

Oh yea he throws trash away when I tell him to or when I tell him to go upstairs with me I'm pretty sure he understands almost everything but I'm not sure about the other languages so I guess that's what they are trying to find out.. his dr worries about the most trivial things haha then she makes me worry
