    Breast cancer
    Hey guys
I a worried about my 14 yr old daughter she appears to have a lump just above her
Left beast above her nipple I am just wondering could this be cancer? It appeared a few days ago it looks like a hive but I don't think it is. Does anyone have any suggestions of what it could be?

    Thanks

It sounds as though her breasts are developing. Do you have a history of breast cancer in your family?

No there's no history of breast cancer in the family she said it was kind of itchy.

Normal. She is just beginning to develop breasts. She may describe them as feeling bumpy or like there are "rocks" in them. Perfectly normal.

Breasts actually develop until a woman has a baby. Truthfully.

Now, saying that she is 14 and her breasts started developing a year ago, she still has a few years before all of this is over.

Laurel, she is 14. Breasts just don't pop out overnight. It takes years for them to develop. The mammary glands have to grow, the milk ducts have to mature, etc. If there is no breast cancer in the history, AND she is only 14 there should be nothing to worry about.

Let me ask you... Are you frequently concerned about the health of your children?

Girl, I am a breast cancer survivor, with a 15 year old daughter. I can assure you it is not breast cancer.
