This is another movie I saw in the 80's. It involves some humans who live underground and mine for a living. They are basically slaves(if memory serves). One guy hears of rumors of a world above and uses his mining machinery to dig up towards the surface. Once on top, some weird half skeletal/organic monster chases after him and I believe somehow gets impaled by an invisible sword that gets knocked to the ground. Sorry if this isn't very clear it has been a long time since I saw the movie and I would love to figure out what it was. It was most likely a Japanese cartoon as American ones weren't this violent/didn't deal with such topics. Thanks in adavnce.
