Tenant wants a breach of lease
My tenants signed a lease a week ago, and are scheduled to move in July 1. In the lease I had had the required clause that listed the Meagan's Law website, and when they went home and looked up the neighborhood they were alarmed that there are sex offenders in the area. The tenants now want to break the lease given that they have a child on the way and don't feel comfortable living there. What legal rights do I have as a landlord? Am I entitled to retaining the security deposit given the breach in lease? If I do let them break the contract, would we need some kind of legal form for that?

    Thanks!

Oh, for heavens sake, montessa, just let them out of the lease if they are not comfortable having their baby in you neighbourhood. I understand.
