    Smell from exposed slab
I have a hole in my slab between my bathroom wall and kitchen wall, that my husband made years ago to fix a plumbing problem (radiant heat), He never concreted it back, he just filled it back with the dirt and stones he had removed to make the hole. He pushed the cabinets back in place and all is well, except ever year in the fall, when it starts to get cold, I notice a funky smell when I open my bottom cabinet. It only lasts for maybe a month or so, and then goes away. I'm worried that this could be a health hazard what do you think I should do?

I would pull the cabinet and patch the hole. Good luck, Tom
