    Theft on camera
Ok so my friend robbed me like 2 months ago and stole a bunch of my stuff and I found out it was him and he admitted it to me cause I seen some of my stuff in his apartment and he thought it was a joke so I went to his apartment building and took all my stuff back and took his laptop because I was pissed off that he stole from me and I took the elevator too the underground parking and I didn't think about it at first but when I got to the underground hallway there was security cameras that I forgot about when I walked out of the elevator and I had the laptop bag in my hand and a plastic bag in my hand with junk in it and I went through the underground and took the stairway exit to outside from the underground and I left the laptop bag and the plastic bag in the stairwell outside and went to the front of the building empty handed to unlock my bike from the front of the building and rode it back to the stairwell to grab the laptop and my bag and I biked off from there but it is a week later now and a officer called me that apparently knew me from before and told me that there is an investigation going on and that my name came up and he said he wanted to talk to me in person but wasn't very urgent about me meeting him and said he will call me to meet him and talk anyway I told him that I was confused and I was worried now because I didn't know what he was talking about and he told me that it was a theft and he didn't want to get into too much info on the phone because it might start problems but anyway there is a good chance I am on camera and I don't know if they have me on camera or not or if they are going to try and find me on camera but I was with the guy that I stole my stuff back from before he went to work and I left with him using the back entrance and he left his door unlocked and he got on the bus but I don't really know what to do or what is going to happen any help please would be great and I have a previous record with stealing cars from like 2 years ago but I was an adult so if I was to get caught what kind of jail time would I be looking at considering the record I already have anyway any help would be great thanks.

This is impossible to read because of the lack of punctuation.

Until you are charged with a crime it is impossible to know what the sentence will be.

    Hello True:

Don't go. If they arrest you, keep your mouth shut. They'll give you a lawyer. Listen to what he says.

Ok so I guess it would just be best to avoid the officer completely? And what happens if he doesn't find me how does that work what will they do?

    Hello again,

They want to interview you so that you snitch on yourself. Don't go. You are NOT required to speak to the police. If they have enough evidence WITHOUT you snitching on yourself, they'll find you. But, don't help 'em, dude.

Thanks that is a lot of help. I figured that if they had the camera footage they would have tried to come for me already and I am pretty much just going to hope they don't get it and not answer my phone to any numbers that aren't already saved in my phone but I am already going to jail for 2 weeks for driving with a suspended licence and I had planned on moving out of the province after I finish my time... which brings me to another question for you do you think it would be worth it for me to get a lawyer to try and get a better bargain deal for a driving with a suspended licence charge they are asking for 21-25 days or would it just be a waste of time and money and in the end I will just end up doing the same amount of time which I could have just got done instead of wasting time fighting it

Getting job with a warrant in another province
I am just wondering if someone could get a legit job in a different province other than there own if they have a warrant out for their arrest for a small charge maybe to try and get a fresh start or until they are ready to deal with their warrant?

IF you employer don't submit a background check and you are telling the truth on your application...

If that person has a significant amount of warrant issued for them

    They may find him

That didn't exactly answer my question. I would like to know if someone with warrants out for their arrest could get a job in another province considering the warrants they have are so small that the province the warrants are outstanding in doesn't want to pick you up and bring you back if that makes any sense at all

Is the warrant in the same county..?
Province? Are you speaking of another town nearby?

Is the warrant for a felony?
    Or misdeamenor?
If it is for a felony you will not be able to get a job...

Misdemanor you may get way with it

You may get a job, but will have to find a place that does not do a background search, Since if they do a search, and the warrant shows up, they will never hire you.

You need to honestly get this settled, if not for finding a job, so you don't worry each time you pass a officer on the street

You are the one with the warrant. I would say it is a felony. You are trying to hide from the police. You can run but you cannot hide. You will always be looking over your shoulder. As for the job, get one off the books. If you get a job on the books you can be found very easily.

It is for a driving under suspension charge that the warrant would be for but it has not been issued yet and it is in a different province than the one I want to find work in I am not worried about the police they do not intimidate me at all and do not effect me in any way I just want to get a job and work till I am ready to come back and deal with my charge as I am young and have been to jail a couple times and am not ready to go back for something stupid right now then get out and do something stupid again and keep going in and out which is what's going to happen if I stay in my province and the only way for me to change is to take the step forward and leave and start fresh and get away from everything and everyone that keeps getting me into trouble until I know its not going to happen again
