    Suing a lender after foreclosure
I was foreclosed on in Jan 2009, and would like to know, if a mortgage can be audited, and legal suit brought on lenders after they foreclosed if it is found that laws have been broken. I was devastated and put my head in the sand but was told, I could audit the mortgage, and sue any parties involved if wrong doing was found in connection with my house being foreclosed, thanks.

Who told you this? Did you not keep track of your payments? Check your statements monthly?

Hmm this is an interesting concept. If the servicer is doing the foreclosure, they would seem to have no right to, without some authorization from the note holder.

I would consult nn attorney and go for it.

The foreclosure hearing of course is the time to challenge any accounting.

And in most cases there are no real wrong doing, people don't pay, and get foreclosed for not paying their house payment.
