    Specific codes for conduits
    Can computer lines be run inside conduit with electrical lines? If I wanted to check to see if there are specific codes to what type of lines can be run together in conduits, where would you suggest I start?

    Take my word for it, no, power lines must be kept separate from any low voltage lines, for various reasons.

    This Sticky Note at the beginning of the Electrical Forum:

    Allows you to review the code. There are a few hoops to jump through, but well worth the effort.

    Start with Section 725.136 (A), which will refer to 800.133 (A) (1), where you will notice that power lines are not listed as being allowed, with but a few specific exceptions.

    Plus, the effects of being too close to AC power lines, and power quality event can be induced into the data wiring, causing serious data issues.

    6" is a good separation distance for parallel wires (low and high voltage) in non-metalic conduit or none at all.

    Mr. Keepitsimplestupid;

    I am looking for more specific answers to this particular question:

    Can computer lines be run inside conduit with electrical lines? If I wanted to check to see if there are specific codes to what type of lines can be run together in conduits, where would you suggest I start?
