Hi my name is michael garner I am attending a attending school receiving all As and I participate in many different programs and community services I have recently been accepted into one of the best schools in the state of Michigan but my parents can not afford it and I would love more than anything to attend that school next year it cost 24,000 and my parents can only afford less than half if someone can help me I would be extremely grateful thank you!!

Talk with the financial aid office there. Explain your situation. There may be scholarships and grants that you are eligible for. My son attended a small, private Midwestern college that was $19,000 his freshman year and ended up being in the high $20,000s by the time he graduated. The college didn't want to lose him, so they found money to keep him there. He does have loans, but they were deferred while he was in grad school. Now he makes tons of money and can easily pay them back (over ten+ years).

Be sure to fill out the FAFSA form (or whatever they use). This is based on your family income and will tell your family's contribution expected. I was shocked at how little we were expected to contribute to my son's college fees and tuition. It sometimes pays to be poor!
