What to claim (through job income)-single/first time homebuyer.
I am a recent first time homebuyer. Prior to this time, I have claimed 0 or 1 on my employer tax decuctions. A family member suggested that now claim at least 3. I don't want to owe at the end of the year. I am a UT resident. What do you suggest I claim?

You exemption count should be on the W-4 should be:

    - ONE for yourself.
    - ONE for any dependent.
    - ONE for your spouse (if married and the spouse is NOT working). -- ONE for your house.

TOTAL of FOUR exemptions, which should result in you getting a small refund.
