    Owe but unemployed

How old was your debt if I may ask, I have lost my job and have been bombarded with calls from law firms (collection agents for the firm) and since I am not working and all I get is unemployment money I do want them suing me but they have not been willing to take the $50 I am offering a month that is all I can pay.

First its not a good idea to piggyback your question on someone else's. This can lead to confusion. You should start a new thread. So I've moved your question to its own thread.

Different creditors will wait varying lengths of time to file suit. Creditors do understand the realities of today's economy. They do understand that getting a judgement doesn't really help when there is no money to pay. Creditors will file for a judgement before the SOL expires only to have it on record for when the debtor returns to work.

The old saying that you cen't get blood from a turnip applies here.

What is your question? A debtor does not have to accept a payment arrangement.
