2 cycle weedeater (craftsman) pushing in primer bulb and it stays in, will not prime. Any suggestions?

You have a gummy clog in your fuel line or carb. The bulb does not pop back out because it is facing suction due to the clog. Unless I miss my guess you need to start disassembling and cleaning both the carb and the fuel lines, use SeaFoam or other good carb cleaner.
