    What is it one needs to pursue a hippa violation when all you have is someone throwing up why you were in the emergency room.. and that person use to be married to you and now they are mrried to the one in surgery dept where your emergency surgery took place and we told the r. nurse to make sure this person got no info on the surgery...

    Your post doesn't make sense. Can you calmly explain what you mean. Because I don't see any HIPPA violation from what you are stating. I would like you to explain in plain english and not text speak. We don't deal in text speak here just english in its proper version.

    I really don't understand your question. Let me see if I can recap.

    You were in the ER and so was your EX. You asked the nurse not to tell the EX about your surgery.

    Is this correct?
