    My landlord selling my house fixed term agreement
    My land Lady and husband is selling there house, we signed a contract for a 2 year fixed term, she has now advised me they are putting the house up for sale. I expressed my concern due to the contract and she advised I am obligated to stay for the two years but if she sells the house she can give me 8 week notice!! This some how does not seem right? Can some one advise please.:confused:

    Read your lease carefully. Does it say anything about them having the right to terminate the lease if they sell the house? If the lease mentions it then it is a contract and you have to follow its terms. If the lease doesn't mention it then the new owner has to honor the full term of your lease.
