    Looking for an unknowen father
I am 25 years old, when I was born my mother gave me up for adoption but she did not do it in a manner. Once I was born she registered my faster parents as my real parents which puts me in a bit of a predicament. My birth mother returned in my life when I was age four and am looking for my birth father my birth mother refuses to tell me anything about my father. What do I do?:confused:

You realize that what she did was illegal, or you are misunderstanding how the adoption process works.

Once you are adopted, the names of your parents on your birth certificate are CHANGED to reflect your adoptive parents. Essentially, you are issued a new birth certificate.

If your birthmother refuses to give you information on your biological father, then you leave a message for him with the adoption agency used, with the courthouse in the county you were adopted/born in, and you start registering on reunion websites, like ISSR, adoption.org and adoption.com.

HOWEVER--the chances of finding a birthfather that way are lower than finding a birth mother, for the simple reason that fewer men KNEW that they had a child, much less that the child was placed for adoption. Adoption law has changed in that aspect, but depending on when your adoption WAS, your birthmother probably didn't have to say a word about the father.

So... what else can you do? You can ask your birthmother again, but if she refuses to tell you anything, you may never know.
