Effects of changing a timing belt
Will changing a timing belt some how cause coolant to mix with engine oil?

If the head and gasket are replaced and the job is not done properly, it can; otherwise, no. Typically, an engine overheats, the head warps, the head gasket leaks, and coolant gets into the oil passages.
