Is there anyway to get internet on the road while I'm on my trips without going to a internet hotspot? Is there any reliable internet service you can recommend?

Shop around.
Virtually any carrier will(not!) tell you that the signal can be lost/blocked/obstructed behind mountains, buildings and tall trees, or other large structures.
These can include, but are not limited to, bridge overpasses, electrical cables, air traffic facilities, near-by transmission towers, etc.
So, I guess now it's a question about where you plan to go and how connected you want to be.
