I am trying to make sure the wiring o my 40 gallon water tank is correct and I need to see a diagram. I have no hot water and have replaced the element and got hot water for a day then replaced the thermostat and got hot water for a day then it just stopped but the tank is not leaking. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

What brand of water heater do you have? That would help to know. Also do you have one element or two?
