    NC drunk driving law
I heard on the news info about pending legislation (senate) whereby permanetly revoked license may be restored after 10 years violation free. Do you have any input or likelihood of passage?

My input: I hope not. Permanent revocation should mean just that - permanent. If someone loses their license for driving drunk, they should never get it back.

Likelihood of passage: hard to say - depends on the state senate composition and personal agendas and experiences.

I'll add to what Steve said - last I heard the insurance industry was against any changes and it has a lot of influence.
