I'm assuming the "little lever" is on a spout. I'm going to put up two diverter spouts. One is a Delta spoutand the other a regular slip on spout. Which one do you have? The Delta spout's on the left. Back to you, Tom

It's a delta select looks more like the one on the right, but, the pull lever is about one inch from the wall.. They are about 5 years old...

    Rmnn,
You didn't need to repost the same question twice. Look under your spout next to the wall if you see any type of opening youhave a slip on spout. If not then your spout screws on. Let me know what you have. Regards, Tom

Sorry just worried... I didn't see anything, I caulked in between the tile and the spout. Do I need to remove the caulk. Because, when they put it on, there was a 1/2 inch gap between the wall and the spout.

If you don't have a small opening on the bottom then it'smy guess you have a screw on spout that has a nipple that's 1/2" inch too long. Unscrew it and soak the spout in vinegar or bleach. When it comes time to put it back I'll be advising you to replace the nipple with a brass nipple 1/2" shorter. Good luck
