    MS-Word 2007 crashes
I recently switched from Office 2003 to Office 2007. Overall the new version is good but I am facing the following problem:

95% of the times and when I close MS-Word 2007, the error messages shown in the attached images come up. Does any one have any clue as to why I am facing this problem and what could be the possible solution?

    Thanks

    Here's MVP Herb Tyson's answer:

    *********************
    Usual culprits are:

    1. Corrupted Normal.dotm (rename or delete)

    2. Corrupted registry entry (usually
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\W ord; rename or delete)

    3. Misbehaving add-in (try turning all add-ins off, then add them back one at a time to try to determine which one is causing the problem).

Oddly enough, the same problems that prevent Word from closing properly can also prevent it from opening properly. So, for more information on how troubleshooting, try here:

That Normal.dot template causes more grief than you can imagine. Deleteing will cause word to recreate. Once Word is stable again set it's protection to read-only or change it's name to something else (Forget the steps). Malware like to corrupt it.
