    Is it just this one hot faucet that acts up? If so then just clean out the hot inlet aon the cartridge or valve. Tell me more about the actually faucet, one handle, two handles any brand name would help.

    How old is your fuacet. Sounds like you may have a stem, washer and seat faucet. If the washer screw is loose, then it will slap down against the seat when fuacet is fully opened. You will need to turn the water off to the hot side of faucet(shut off valve below sink) remove hot side vavle assembly, and see if there is a loose washer. Please let me knoiw what you find.
