State select 40 galon hot water tank will not restart by itself. You have to manualy restart it then it works fine. When it stops working 2 lights come on on the temp setting panel. Any idea what's wrong?

By restart are your talking about relighting the pilot or exactly what are you doing to restart it? Not familaiar with any red lights on a water heater, can you tell us more about this model?
