What is the best format for submitting a quote on building a carport

I like to use Microsoft Word or Excel when I make bids to do things for others.

My basic format looks like the following.

The description of what I'll do is where most of the text is. If I were to build a carport, I would start with something like the following.

Estimate to build build a (dimensions here) carport with (whatever might come with it) for the property located at (address of the property.)

You could also included the specific location on the property.

I would then go on to put in all of the details as to how it will be constructed and what materials will be used.

The details of the prices would be in the columns on the right side of the page.
