    Abandenment issues
My boyfriend has primary custody of his two boys, they live with us and have not seen or heard from their mother in a year. When she did get them a year ago she was using drugs and having strange men in and out of her house. We have informed her that she needs to take us to court so we can have someone there with her while they are in her custody to assure she is taking care of them. She has not done this. We spoke to a layer about 7 mons ago and she said we should wait because there is an abandenment laws that we can file. We are unaware of what all we need or what we can do as she will not just sign off but she has been a very negative inpact in their life. Please help!

Its not up to her.. its not up to you either. Its up to your boyfriend to go back to court and ask for a modification if there is current court ordered visitation. So if he wants any changes then he needs to stop being lazy and go file. In the modification he can state his reasons and as part of it ask for drug testing and supervised visits if the test comes back positive.

Yes it is not up to her, or you, and really not up to boyfriend, there is a court order in place now that is suppose to be followed.

If he wants it modified he takes her to court to change it.

He can use the no contact, he can prove the drug use. But he can not demand supervised visits unless the court orders it.
