All my brake lights including the one in the rear window won't light. All other lights work. I checked all fuses. Does one bulb cause them all to be out?

Check your brake light switch for continuity, if you are positive you have tested all under-dash and under-hood fuses. Spray the brake light switch with WD-40.
What do you mean? Is there a brake light switch?
It's connected to the brake pedal, usually under the dash.
I located what might be the switch, but I'm afraid to spray it, there are a lot of wires around it and it might not be the right thing.
Proper procedure would be to take a test light or multimeter and test for power coming into the brake light switch and then test the switch itself. You may want to take it to a mechanic and have him check it out, if you are not comfortable doing it. Buy a Haynes Manual for your vehicle and it will help you with these common problems.
Okay, you talked me into it. Thanks
Ive Seen Those Kicked Off Too. Do You Have Trailer Lights?
I took my Mazda to a mechanic and he put in a new brake light switch. It didn't fix the lights. So he took it out and I'm going to get my money back. He didn't have time to look for broken wires. Can anyone think of anythng else to try? It's really scary driving with no brake lights.
Flow is usually from the battery, to the under-hood fuse/relay box, to the brake switch, to the brake lights (which are wired in parallel), to ground. With a test light, or DMM, verify power to:
. Under-hood brake fuse,
. Brake switch connector and switch (check power into and out of)--also adjust pedal height*, and
. Brake light sockets.
Finally, check for a poor ground (normally BLK wire) or an open in the wiring. If you methodically do this, you will locate the problem.
*Wouldn't surprise me, if this is all that is wrong!
I have performed all the tests you listed but still no lights .I have power out of the brake switch.is it possible for the brake check unit to fail and cause no lights
