Hi seloka, I think the vibroshape belt is a great idea. It is a remake of the oldstyle vibrating belts they used to have in gyms years ago, only these were attached to a machine, you put the wide belt around the part of your torso you wanted to work on, and turned it on. The instant motion would stimulate your blood vessels to the area you wanted and this would get rid of (over time mind you) a small amount of surface fat. It helped to to stimulate the muscles in that area. Vibrating tables were and still are quite popular in salons. I used to tone myself up quite well on them.

So yes, I would say they have merit.

    Regards

I do not believe it will help in weight reduction. It might help in localized toning, but that is different than weight reduction. Weight reduction comes from the elimination of fat through diet and exercise.

Then why don't they still use these?

It may stimulate the blood vessels, but you can eat all you want and "shake" the fat off? Nope, I don't think so. If it worked so well these would still be in use today.

Hi, J-9, yes, the toning belts ae still in use today at our YMCA gym. Oddly enough, some people actually enjoy the stimulation.

Where does it say I mentioned shaking the fat off, that is ludricous.

I was talking from personal experience with these belts, plus toning tables. The toning tables I enjoyed for just that, toning, and enjoyed the belts for just that, toning.

Really J-9, what do you think I am a 66 year old nincompoop, you do my intelligence a disservice. I actually said 'over time you could get rid of a small amount of surface fat'. If it worked for me, it probably did and still does work for some people. And I would highly recommend them.

That is my take on the vibrobelt and anything quite similar to it. The Japanese sometimes come up with some really good items. After reading about it, I would buy one and I am not a soft sell either.
