Why is my Coleman Evcon furnace putting out heat when air conditioner is on and off?

Is this a electric furnace?

Yes it is.

Then you probably need a new heat sequencer.

You can try tapping it with the power off and see if it unsticks. It should be in the top door of your furnace.

I really don't know what to look for exactly but when I switch the furnace back on in the breaker it glows at the bottom.

That is probably because the heat sequencer is still calling for heat and there is a power load at your breaker

So can I run the air conditioner?

You can, but it will probably not do much if the heat is also still running.

What if I keep the breaker to the furnace off and the air conditioner on? Will it make a difference then?

Inless you have 2 different systems the ac uses the furnace blower so you will still get no air.
