How much is my piano worth?
I have an Adam Schaaf Chicago piano, the 'serial number' is 10159.

Can anyone tell me a little bit about it?
How much its worth, how old it is, etc?

    Please & thanks

Adam Schaaf made baby grands and uprights in the 20s. However, you will have to investigate craiglist because this company are not making pianos any longer. If anyone is to tell you how much it is worth, you will have to go there and see what is available and what they are selling for.

    Hi, justlo24!

What it's worth monetarily will depend on many factors.

Here are just a few things to consider. Can it be tuned to the modern, standard pitch of A=440? When it's tuned, does it hold its pitch for a number of weeks or months? Do all of the notes play and at least the sustaining pedal work also? When was the last time that it was tuned? Does it have a bench? Is it an upright or a grand? Etc.

I've been a piano tuner/technician since 1974 and am also a professional pianist.

I can tell you the approximate monetary value of your instrument if I find out some additional information about it. I also evaluate pianos and make estimations as to the approximate, possible monetary value of them for insurance and other purposes.

I hope that you return so that we can discuss this! I'm located in the upper Midwest in the United States and am usually on here pretty late at night, starting at about 10:30 P.M. my time.

    Thanks!
