    Replacing a threaded outdoor spicket
Simple question. In between the lead pipe coming out of the wall and the brass/copper spicket; Should I use Teflon tape or some other sealant.

You can use teflon tape or pipe dope no problem.
Using a combo of Teflon tape with pipe dope on all metallic male water fitting and pipe, this ensures it will have a positive seal each and overtime, good luck.

You got a great answer from Afaroo. Either teflon or pipe dope, or both(if both, put on a few wraps of teflon tape first then coat it with pipe dope).

Agree with posts above: teflon or pipe dope are both fine.
