Allocation Error Static Node #5
When I boot up the computer. It is really slow. as it gets to the end of the first page of reboot. I get an error message Allocation Error, Static Node #5 I have to press the ESC button and it then continues to boot up. Then it goes to a blank screen or sometimes it says that Windows is booting, either way it just sits there for up 3 to 5 minutes before it continues to boot up. Does anyone have any idea what it going on in my computer. I have a Packard Bell 4500 Platinum running Windows 98 SE upgrade and Pentium 2. I have 192MB of RAM with 72% free. 32 bit.
Thanks
Kathy

Hmm... I would guess this might have something to do with your RAM.
Try to find a RAM test utility...
I might be completely wrong though :)
Can you provide a very detailed account of how it boots up(or at least tries to boot up)?
