When I saw the Blue Screen Of Death I didn't know what to do, so I took of the plug. After plugging it off, I plugged it back in. Next thing I know the computer was not turning on. What happened and what do I do? Are my files safe?

With machine turned off, disconnect everything attached to the computer - keyboard, mouse, speakers, printer, plug, etc...
-all you want is your computer tower with nothing attached to it
Now press and hold the power button in for 25 secs and release
(This will release any static charge in PC)
Now attach your keyboard mouse, power and monitor and plug in.
-Turn on computer
If all works out, your computer should start
-Now go through connecting your stuff again
Obviously, something serious happened to your computer. Since the computer won't turn on, it's possible that the CPU is damaged or that the motherboard has a problem. If that is so, the hard disk and the data on the hard drive may be fine. On the other hand, it is possible that the hard drive has failed in such a way that it's no longer recoverable.
This will take considerable resources and some expertise. Also, another bootable computer with a compatible hard drive to test your hard drive would be very desirable. Do you think you have the knowledge to do this or can you find someone with some experience in this?
