Almost 6 week old mix lab/alsation
Hi everyone I'm new to this so please bare with me.. My puppy is just 6 weeks old on Tuesday . We got him on Friday I know it was to soon to take him but the owner just wanted to get rid of the puppies.. he is great and his name is elmo . I am feeding him twice a day . He is really big and cries when he wants to go out the back to poo and also wees on the newspaper sometime he is way ahead.. he is nipping a lot and I have 2 young children and I read an article if a puppy is taken from his litter to soon the biting can remain a problem is this true?? I understand he is teething and have bought him toys but he gets really bored .

I am worried I took him to young is there any advice you can give me... please...

Six weeks is a little young to be teething, but not abnormally so. Biting is something you need to start training out of him now. It's a dominance trait puppies instinctively use and everybody needs to explain to him where he understands that people are not brothers/sisters, it's not okay to bite. Things that are okay to bite and are recommended are kongs with treats inside and, while he's teething, chicken bullion ice cubes.
