    Arm pain
Im the catcher for my high school softball team and for the past two weeks I have experienced a lot of pain in my throwing arm. It hurts from the top of my shoulder to my elbow and it's causing my throws to be off. Im not sure what it is, at first I thought my arm was just sore from throwing a lot because once I stopped throwing for a few days the pain would go away, but now I can't throw at all without extreme pain in my arm and it's now lasting all the time. Someone please help me!

Maybe arthritic pain in the joints, age is no barrier for arthritic pain. I would suggest you can try an anti-inflammatory over the counter such as Advil. Will reduce inflammation caused by arthritis. If that doesn't work, then you had better see your doctor.

I play baseball myself. I pitch and play outfield. From what your description is, the pain is throughout your humerus bone(shoulder to elbow). Its highly unlikely that you have a joint, tendon, or ligament injury. It's highly possible that you pulled either your biceps or tricep muscle. Those muscles extend from the shoulder to elbow. After throwing about 90 pitches one game, I strained my biceps and the pain bothered a little during the game, but it intensified throughout the day.

If u had hurt a ligament /tendon, the pain would be sharp and excrutiating(like getting stabbed by a needle). A muscle injury feels like a persistent throbbing and somewhat painful.

To heal a muscle injury which is what I'm guessing happened to u, follow the PRICE method for best results. Protection Rest Ice Compression Elevation. Check out How Should I Treat a Strained Muscle?
