Visually it looks like it could be drawn with Paint as most of it is white. It's a 2d overhead map type game and there is no animation just the pictures of monsters and items and yourself.
You pick up weapons and rings and armor and put them in inventory slots. Money is piles of copper or silver or gold or platinum.
You move by using the arrow keys to walk your dude through the dungeons and reveal the map until you find stairs down. Monsters are defeated by walking your dude's image against the monsters image. I can remember monsters like kobolds, ogres, and manticores. I remember traps in the dungeons too. I remember starting in a crappy town and going into a dungeon and coming out into another crappy town and not being able to afford any of the nicer things.

I can also remember playing it on a win95 computer if that helps.
