    Slight bleeding after rough sex
My boyfriend and I broke up almost 3 months ago. We began talking 2 weeks ago and we saw each other again for the first time yesterday. We made up and began to have sex but it was a lot more rough than usual. In the middle of it I began to feel slightly sore, but I chalked it up to the condom being dry and we continued. When I got home I was still a little sore but I attributed that to how rough we had gotten. When I went to the bathroom however, I noticed that there was some blood when I wiped almost as if my period had just started; (Not an extreme amount but noticeable enough.) I continued to wipe and soon the bleeding seemed to have stopped. I'm still sore but there is little to no bleeding and other than that I feel fine. Before this incident, I hadn't had sex in a month. Could this have been a result of both the roughness of the sex as well as the fact that I hadn't done it in a while?

Rough sex can often lead to bleeding and soreness.

If the bleeding re-occurs or the pain continues consult your doctor.

The vaginal canal, as well as the cervix, is very vascular. Rough sex can cause the capillaries to break, causing bleeding. Pretty common.
