Hi erm well to start I've been with my other half for 3 months and it seems problem after problem with our sex life first he was to big and we had problems because we couldn't fit it in. We started using lube so now that's fine but we have another problem now.. He has problems keeping an erection which we don't understand because a) he's 17 and b) I turn him on so if any of you lot know anything to help and stop his embarrassment about going to the doctor about it please comment. I want him to enjoy sex as much as I do and every time he can't keep the erection he gets really stressed out and upset. Please help

Yes we use condoms and I'm on the pill and he says he's not nervous and I'm not so we really don't get it we use plenty of foreplay and he still seems to have this problem

Then he needs to go to the doctor and get checked out or talk to someone. Maybe his is having some insecurities he is not aware of.
Maybe he is not ready for sex.

Does he take meds, or do drugs?

Nope he takes nothing!

More often than not, our bodies will do what is best for them regardless of what our minds want them to do. If he is not able to get an erection, it doesn't necessarily mean that he is not attracted to you or that you are doing anything wrong. It simply means that something in his body (even down to the chemical level) is prevent the blood from flowing into his penis.

The best course of action is to consult a medical doctor. He won't have to go into too many details; usually the doctor will ask how he normally achieves an erection, and similar questions that have already been asked here. They can run some tests, and even conduct a bit of counseling to get to the cause of the problem.

I do have to wonder if he's worried about hurting you, though. I know you said you have lube, but...it's a very intimate act, and he is emotionally vulnerable even if he doesn't admit it. He doesn't want to do anything wrong, so maybe there is a mental block somewhere.

It's not your fault, though. Talk to him and see if you can get to the bottom of it yourselves. If you can't, then take my advice and consult a physician.
