    Audition Pieces?
My community Theatre is doing "Disney's Beauty and the Beast," and I can't think of a good song to audition with. To give you some information, I'm a 16-year-old girl with a range between alto and soprano. I've done theatre for the past 4 years, but this is my first time to audition for a large part in a serious musical (I've kind of got my heart set on Belle). Acting is my strong point, but I want to be able to blow them away with the song. The auditions aren't until May 31st, but I want to make sure I'm thoroughly prepared.

I thought of using another Disney song, but can't find anything that really sounds halfway decent. Any ideas?

How about the one Susan Boyle sang, "I Dreamed a Dream"? Or "Circle of Life"?

I thought about those... Neither really work either. However, I found that "I Just Can't Wait to be King" from Lion King worked quite well. Lol.

    Hi, WriteitActit814!

"I Just Can't Wait to be King" should work well! "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?", from The Lion King might also fit your voice range well.

    Thanks!
