I have a Harbor Breeze ceiling fan with lights and remote control. Due to a problem with my air conditioning unit, the power in the house shut off. After power was restored, the fan lights only work by pulling the chain but the fan blades do not work by pulling the chain or using the remote. What is the problem? Thanks!

It is very likely that the remote receiver was fried. Open the fan at the ceiling, remove the receiver, wire it without it, and see do the fan and lights work properly from the pullchains.
