Can barely swallow and neck swollen left hand side
OK so my throat has been really sore for about a week now
But not like a scratchy sort of throat sore you get with a cold
It like the action of swallowin hurts like the muscles or whatever you have there.
Today my gland on the left hand side of me neck is swollen an I hurts to touch my neck
My ears are also starting to hurt
    What d'yous think?

    Go to the hospital.
I just got back from taking my son for the same symptoms and he has enlarged lymph nodes and has to go back tomorrow.
It could be a number of things that require a doctors. visit.

    Is your son OK?
    Does it seem serious?
My mum thought it might be were I got 2 cartilage piercings in my ear
But that was like 2 and 4/5 months ago :S
    So I didn't reckon so
Thanks for the advice though x

Yes, I agree with NoHelp. Go to the doctor, get some antibiotics and anti-inflamatory medicine in you. You should start to feel better after you start taking some meds.

    Feel better!

Yes. Walk-in clinics are perfect for these types of things.

    Good idea. :)

You have probably had too many fizzy drinks or caffiene or both. When you do the glands raise closing the airways increasingly. You also probably find that you get unbeearable pains under your tongue. It is nothing major at all. Simply drink plenty of water, and garge some salt water every hour or so. A healthy amount of salt diluted in water, gargle around half a litre, then drink plenty of normal water. This hydrates the gland and should be sorted in a few hours. For faster recovery, gargle more salt water more often but remember not to swallow. If you can't gargle just rinse

I'll try the salt water thing thanks
But I haven't had any fizzy drinks for like a week at least maybe more
They're too expensive in work aha
