Windows Live messenger- How to get rid of Family Safety Feature?
    Hi,

My problem is that.. a few days ago I was playn around and signed into this feature of windows live which is called Windows live family safety. Now every time I open my computer or wanted to use the internet I have to sign in (the family safety program pops up) to access the internet. Now I realised this whole feature is for parents to protect their child when browsing the net. I wanted to know how would I get rid of this because every time I want to use the net or say if I go to Facebook.. it pops up on the left hand bottom cnr and says something like Family safety beta has blocked some features.. click here to ask for permission.. something like that..

I am quite annoyed.. I also tried deleting this but could not..

Because I'm so annoyed by having to sign in every time I start my computer (onto this feature to use msn) I've made it so It signs me in automatically as a parent.. (I'm not even a parent) Could you please help..

PS sorry if I'm not clear..

    Thanks

If you are on Windows 7 or Windows Vista simply go to add/remove programs in your control panel and press unistall Windows Live Essentials from here it should give you the options of messenger, movie maker etc including Family Safety. Check Family Safety off the list and hopefully this should get rid of it for you. Hope this helps.

P.S. If you are on Windows XP try typing in services.msc into the run box press ENTER and then a list should appear of programs on your screen. From here scroll down and look for Windows Live Family Safety and then right click on it and press properties and box should appear. Then select disable from the drop down menu. Good luck, it caused me endless nightmares! Good riddance to bad rubbish.
