2000 Ford V-6 Explorer Starter Removal
How in the world do you get access to the starter on a 2000 V-6 Explorer? I'm in my early fifties. I've replaced starters all the way back since I was a teenager. But this one has me stumped. Do you have to be a magician to get it off. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. I put this thing up on jacks two days ago, and that's were it remains. :(

Access is what it's all about, in order to work on cars today. I'm unfamiliar with your Explorer, but see what's in the way that you may be able to remove without too much trouble. On my 2000 Taurus, for example, access is enhanced if you remove the battery and battery platform. Additional access is by removing the wheel and wheel-well liner, on the driver's side.
