    Terminating fathers visitation
The father of my 3 children is mentally abusive, an alocoholic, pays $10 a month child support, because he does not work, and has for felonies on his record. Why can I not strip him of his visitation rights? How could spending every other with him be in the best interests of the children?

You can file for a change in court, but be prepared to lose. If he wants to be a part of the kids life, there is little you can do about it.

If you can prove what you say, you may be able to get supervised visitation if you can't stop it altogether.

First normally child support even unemployed is more than 10 dollars, have you went to court over this.

You will have to file a motion in court and prove all of your issues.

I have been to court to do just that, but he lives with his mom and she can afford the best of lawyers. Needless to say I am in the poor house. We are going back to court again soon. Had an incident with my 12 boy and 14 girl, and one was suicidal because his dad had him so scared. Also in the visitation it states that he is not to drink on the days he has his kids, and he drinks any ways. And the kids have seen it. Now neither one of them want go back after this past weekend. Thanks for the info.

You are right that unemployment is that , even more . But this guy has not worked for most of eight years since I left. I do believe that unemployment has run dry for him. He lives with his mom and she supports him and his drinking habbit, and pays for all these great lawyers for when we go back into the courts. My kids deserve better. Thanks for your answer.
